Fragments was a unique multidisciplinary collaboration that extends beyond photography and film. Sculpture gallery founding member Mandy Long crafted sculptural pieces inspired by the imagery, further bridging the gap between stillness and motion. Long’s works translated the ephemeral quality of dance into tangible forms, deepening the viewer’s engagement with the theme of connection.
"This project is about capturing fleeting moments of interaction—how bodies communicate beyond words, how emotions shape movement," says Stephen. "The collaboration with Mandy Long adds another layer to this exploration, allowing the physicality of dance to be reimagined through sculpture."
The exhibition invited audiences to experience the synergy between movement and stillness, photography and sculpture, light and form. By intertwining these mediums, Fragments offered a deeply immersive reflection on intimacy, attraction, and artistic expression. It ran in the sculpture gallery Leeds throughout March 2025.
